Matthew Wansley

Matt Wansley is the Regional Director at Brighter Day and has a passion for public service. His career began as a City Year (AmeriCorps) Corps Member in his hometown of Chicago, where his work ignited a lifelong commitment to service and community engagement. With over two decades of experience, Matt has held leadership positions in organizations focused on caring for people with special needs, addressing the mental health and housing crisis, and advocating for youth.

In Oklahoma, Matt served as the Executive Director of the Thunderbird Youth Academy Foundation, a federally funded program committed to transforming the lives of at-risk youth across the state. He has also consulted with Tulsa County, the State of Oklahoma, and The University of Tulsa, bringing his expertise to a wide range of initiatives. Most recently, he led a statewide trade association, advocating for industry interests both in Oklahoma and on a national level.
